Realness of In Needs of Survival
More than 1,000 victims of child sex trafficking are arrested and charged with sex work each year in 30 states. Instead of people wanting to help these children, the government would instead lock them up and make money off of them. 80% of children who are arrested will be again in three years, and the government will continue to make money off of them. And the children are still being treated as objects instead of human beings. These children face horrible conditions from the people who sell them and are not getting any help from anyone and deserve to be free. It costs $31,286 to keep someone incarcerated.
And prisons can make as much as $73,000 per inmate. Between 70,000 to 80,000 people are arrested each year for sex work. It costs taxpayers $200 billion dollars in tax money to keep inmates who have been arrested for sex work. The government should use this money to help people, not make a profit off of them. These are still people, not objects, and should be treated as such, which is sad that it even has to be said. The government knows sex trafficking is happening but would instead do nothing, make money, and claim to be pro-life.
